Delete Your Little Lantern Account and Data

Little Lantern allows parents and family members to create an account using email-based sign-in.

You may request permanent deletion of your Little Lantern account and associated data at any time.

Delete your account

To request account deletion, email support@littlelantern.app. Use the email address connected to your Little Lantern account and include the subject Delete my Little Lantern account.

You may also begin the deletion process inside Little Lantern from Settings -> Account -> Delete account.

Request account deletion

This opens your email app so Little Lantern can verify the request before deleting your account.

What will be deleted

When an account-deletion request is completed, Little Lantern will delete:

  • The user's authentication account
  • The account email address
  • The Little Lantern user ID
  • Account profile and access records associated with the account
  • Other account-linked information maintained by Little Lantern

Deleting an account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Data saved on your device

Some information may be stored locally on the device, including:

  • Recent Storytimes
  • Saved favorites
  • Story preferences
  • Bedtime mood
  • Family shortcuts
  • Local settings

Users can remove this information using the existing Clear local data control. Uninstalling Little Lantern or clearing the app's storage may also remove locally saved information.

Clearing local data does not automatically delete the Little Lantern account or information stored on Little Lantern's services.

Clear local data

This removes Little Lantern-owned preferences and history saved on this device only. It does not delete your account or server-side account records.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

Users may request deletion of support messages, feedback, bug reports, or other information previously submitted without deleting their Little Lantern account.

They should email:

support@littlelantern.app

Contact Little Lantern from the same email address used when submitting the information so the correct records can be located.

What may remain

Little Lantern may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for:

  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Resolving disputes
  • Enforcing applicable agreements
  • Documenting that a deletion request was completed

Any retained information must be limited to what is necessary for those purposes.
